  • Process

This washed Gesha undergoes a 22-hour dry fermentation before being dried on raised beds for seven days. The careful process preserves the variety’s floral complexity and vibrant acidity.

  • Variety

100% Gesha, grown at 1,550 masl in the Yungas region of Bolivia. Renowned for its elegance and aromatic complexity, Gesha produces refined, expressive cups with exceptional clarity.

  • Tasting Notes

Elegant and creamy with notes of key lime pie, vanilla bean, and praline. Bright citrus acidity is balanced by silky sweetness and a long, delicate finish.

Producer Profile

Juan Carlos Huanca owns Finca La Asunta, a seven-hectare farm in La Asunta, Bolivia, where three hectares are dedicated to coffee and the remainder to citrus trees. After losing his first coffee plantation to disease, Juan rebuilt from the ground up, planting Catuai and Gesha varieties and dedicating himself to specialty coffee production.

Today, Finca La Asunta produces 2,250 kilograms of coffee each year, with quality taking priority over volume. Located in Bolivia’s Sud Yungas, a region traditionally known for coca production, Juan’s farm demonstrates how specialty coffee can restore biodiversity and provide a sustainable alternative for local communities. His commitment to careful farming and continuous learning has transformed both his family’s future and the land he cultivates.
