  • Tasting Notes

Rich and juicy with notes of molasses, raspberry, and green grape. A vibrant cup with syrupy sweetness and a crisp, fruit-forward finish.

Producer Profile

Alma Negra is a regional smallholder lot from southern Huila, produced by 45 farmers, across Oporapa, Pitalito, and Palestina. Each producer cultivates coffee on 1.5–4 hectare plots, interwoven with household crops and native plants.

At harvest, cherries are selectively picked, depulped, and fermented for 48 to 60 hours before being fully washed and dried under the sun. Alma Negra reflects the precision and pride of smallholder production, offering a layered, regional snapshot of Huila’s terroir, farming diversity, and collaboration across communities.
