Dulima was created in 2009 to celebrate the distinctive coffee profile of central and southern Huila, one of Colombia's most celebrated coffee-growing regions. This regional blend is sourced from smallholder farmers whose coffees are carefully selected through rigorous sensory evaluation to ensure consistency, quality, and a true expression of Huila's terroir.

Named after the indigenous heritage of southern Colombia, Dulima honors both the region's cultural history and the dedication of the families who cultivate its coffee. Their careful farming practices, combined with Huila's high elevations and diverse microclimates, produce coffees recognized for their balance, sweetness, and exceptional complexity.

Meet the artist behind the label

Ana María Álvarez García is a visual artist and rural educator. Her work explores the relationship between the land and the people who inhabit it, understanding the landscape as a living space in constant transformation. Through drawing, printmaking, poster art, and painting, she reflects on the traces we leave in the places we inhabit.

As an educator, she believes in art as a tool for strengthening critical thinking and social awareness. She has developed educational projects in communities across Risaralda and Quindío, fostering dialogue about territory, identity, and environmental stewardship.
