  • Process

This coffee is fully washed and dried in solar dryers, a method that begins with hand-harvested ripe cherries that are depulped, fermented, washed, and gently dried under protective solar covers.

  • Variety

A diverse mix of Bourbon, Caturra, Castillo, Colombia, Gesha, F8, and Tabi, a blend of traditional and newer cultivars that thrive at high altitudes and contribute both structure and complexity.

  • Tasting Notes

A juicy, bright cup, crisp red apple and white grape lead with fresh, clean acidity. A gentle touch of ginger spice adds warmth and sparkle on the finish, creating a well-balanced and refined experience.

Producer Profile

Grown between 1700–2100 masl in Huila, Colombia, this coffee is produced by members of ASPROCESCA (Asociación de productores de cafés especiales Vereda el Caimán), a collective established in 2019 with a focus on sustainable practices and improving community well-being.

Producers cultivate coffee on small farms using organic methods and process it at their own micro-mills, ensuring careful handling from harvest through fermentation and washing. Final drying takes place in covered solar dryers for consistency and protection.

ASPROCESCA works alongside Lohas Bean, an export partner that supports traceability and quality control through a dedicated dry-mill and cupping lab. Together, they invest in local infrastructure, healthcare initiatives, education, and environmental training, efforts rooted in the vision of long-term resilience and opportunity for coffee-producing families.
