  • Tasting Notes

Butterscotch and walnut richness with a touch of amaretto. This coffee is round and comforting, with layered sweetness and a smooth, clean finish.

Producer Profile

Arturo Rodríguez started growing coffee in 2010 in Mataquescuintla, Jalapa, Guatemala. Originally a livestock and grain farmer, Arturo planted his first two hectares of Pache San Ramón cautiously, intercropping with corn to reduce financial risk. Three years later, an excellent harvest encouraged him to expand with Red Catuai, and he’s been focused on specialty quality ever since.

His farm, El Terrero, is part of Café Colis Resistencia, a collective name developed by Alex Reynoso to represent Xinka community producers working toward direct access to international markets. In a region where nearly 90% of the population grows coffee, but most lack access beyond local intermediaries, Colis Resistencia creates a path for fair pricing and long-term sustainability.
