  • Process

This washed coffee is depulped shortly after harvest, fermented for 12–18 hours, then washed clean before drying on patios or in mechanical dryers. The process produces a clean, balanced cup that highlights the character of the region.

  • Variety

A blend of Bourbon, Typica, and Mundo Novo. These classic varieties thrive in Oaxaca's high elevations, producing coffees known for their sweetness, balance, and chocolate-forward profile.

  • Tasting Notes

Rich and comforting with notes of raw cacao, cane sugar, and chocolate fudge. A smooth body and lingering sweetness create a warm, satisfying finish.

Producer Profile

This regional lot comes from the mountainous coffee-growing communities of Oaxaca, Mexico's most biodiverse state. While the region is widely celebrated for its cuisine, culture, and mezcal, its high elevations and cool climate also provide exceptional conditions for growing specialty coffee. Generations of producers have cultivated coffee here, adapting to the rugged terrain and diverse landscapes.

In recent years, Oaxaca's coffee farmers have focused on improving quality through better cultivation and post-harvest practices, opening new opportunities in the specialty coffee market. As producers continue to overcome challenges such as coffee leaf rust and refine their processing techniques, Oaxaca is quickly establishing itself as one of Mexico's most exciting coffee-growing regions.

Meet the artist behind the label

I’m a self-taught multidisciplinary artist working and living in Toronto, Canada. Growing up in Mexicali, Baja California, my childhood was shaped by folkloric tales that warned children of danger or conveyed important lessons. These stories made a lasting impression on my young mind and have become a core part of my practice. But the most impactful stories, for me, were the ones children told each other, blending familiar folklore, imagination, and life reflections. Drawing from this storytelling blueprint, my work navigates the spaces of familiar memory, the subconscious, dreams. Familiar stories and folklore I draw inspiration from include La Llorona (weeping mother), La Nahuala (shapeshifter), Alebrijes (anthropomorphic animals), Brujas (witches), and many more.

In this illustration, I explore the jaguar figure as a fun and curious character in motion, pouncing through a cactus garden. This piece mixes design elements and familiar Mexican motifs in a playful yet expressive way.
